February 17, 2018MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Worcester State University’s sophomore Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) was named the Division III New England high jump champion on Saturday as he earned the top spot with a height of 2.07m/6-09.50, leading the team to an 11th place finish of 28+ schools in attendance at the Division III New England Championship. Both Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) and John Ojukwu (Stow, Mass.) also earned All-New England honors.

January 27, 2018MEDFORD, Mass. – The Worcester State University men’s indoor track & field team placed 5th of 14 teams in attendance Saturday at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational hosted by Tufts University, as the team saw great performances from John Ojukwu (Stow, Mass.) in the 60 Meter, Marques Johnson (West Hartford, Conn.) in the 600 Meter Run, and a combination of jumpers and throwers.

Lewis and Vieira Break School Records at Husky Indoor Invitational
December 09, 2017ROXBURY, Mass. – Worcester State University's sophomore high jumper Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) and junior thrower Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) both broke Worcester State University school records in their respective events Saturday evening at the Husky Indoor Invitational. Lewis broke the indoor high jump record with a height of 2.13m (6-11.75) while Vieira broke the weight throw record with a monster throw of 18.42m (60-5.25). The Lancers in total saw four 1st place finishers amongst tough competition of Division I, II, and III members, and had five individuals qualify for DIII New England's at the event.
