WORCESTER, Mass. – Edward Boamah (Worcester, Mass.) of Worcester State University has been tabbed the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's indoor track athlete of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Jan. 15) afternoon.
This past weekend at the Tufts Invite #1, Boamah came in second in the 200 meter dash (22.74), second in the 400 meter dash (50.52) and fourth in the triple jump (13.64m). He qualified for DIII New England's and All-New England's in the 200 meter at this weekend's outing.
Boamah posted a personal record in the triple jump to qualify for Division III New England's in the event.
He is currently ranked in the top 30 nationally in all three events after this weekend.
The men's track & field team returns to completion this weekend as they head to Springfield College on Saturday (Jan. 20).
