Boamah Earns MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week Accolades

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's sophomore Edward Boamah (Worcester, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's track athlete of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Dec. 11) afternoon.

 

This past weekend at the Husky Invitational, Boamah was the 400 meter winner with a time of 49.77 to qualify him for both Division III New England's and All-New England's. With this marking, he is presently ranked 10th on the national performance list in the 400 meters.

 

He also came in sixth in the long jump (6.17m/20-3) and seventh place in the 200 meters (23.01) amongst competition from Division I and II schools.

 

The men's track & field team will break for the remainder of 2017 and open up the New Year with the Dartmouth Relays on Sunday, January 7.
