Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Competes at ECAC Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Worcester State University's men's outdoor track & field team competed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships this week, as Sam Weeks (Methuen, Mass.) competed in three events, coming in 9th place in the shot put (15.47m), 11th place in the discus (43.34m), and 12th in the hammer throw (49.76m).

 

Teammate Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) came in 13th in the hammer throw for a distance of 48.92m.

 

Duy Truong (Worcester, Mass.) placed 11th in the 110 Meter Hurdles in a time of 15.16.

 

David Germain (Malden, Mass.) competed in the high jump and registered a height of 1.86m.

 

Worcester State's Truong, Mamudu Dennis (Worcester, Mass.), Benjamin Dussault (Assonet, Mass.) and Charles Newman (Westfield, Mass.) marked a 16th place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.78).
