WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University men's outdoor track & field team traveled across-town to Holy Cross to meet up with NCAA Division I competition (Holy Cross, University of Rhode Island, University of New Hampshire) on Tuesday.

RECAP

The Lancers had three second place, and two third place finishers at the Holy Cross Men's Meet.

 

Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) came in second in the high jump with a height of 2.10m (6-10.75).

 

Markiesh Harmon (Leominster, Mass.) qualified for Division III New England's in the long jump and triple jump. He marked a second place finish in the long jump at 6.66m (21-10.25), and then logged a personal best in the triple jump (13.43m/44-0.75) which was good for a fourth place finish.  

 

John Ojukwu (Stow, Mass.) captured a second place finish in the 100 meter dash (11.00) and an eighth place marking in the 200 meter dash (24.57).

 

Edward Boamah (Worcester, Mass.) qualified for Division III New England's in the 200 meter dash with a season best time of 22.51, which was good for third place.

 

Also marking a third place finish with a season record was the Lancers' 4x100 meter relay team of Zachary Poitras (Webster, Mass.), Boamah, Michael Butten (Marblehead, Mass.), and Ojukwu.

 

UP NEXT

The Lancers head to Bridgewater on Saturday (Apr. 28) for the MASCAC/Alliance Championships.
