Hebert Shines for Men's Cross Country at UMass Dartmouth  Shriners Invitational

 

N. Dartmouth, MA --- Junior Wesley Hebert (Leominster, MA) finished 76th individually (28:20) as he helped the Worcester State men's cross country team place 20th at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Invitational this morning.

As a squad the Lancers tallied 550 points, just 32 off of the top 15. Franklin Pierce took home the team championship with 52 points.

Senior Pat Daley (Millbury, MA) added 95th place (28:45) while junior Patrick Bova (Princeton, MA) captured 120th (29:23).

Third-year Lowell Chumsae (Worcester, MA/Shrewsbury) recorded 145th (30:19) followed by freshman John Leary (Worcester, MA/South) and classmate Edwin Nash (Charlton, MA) who were seconds off each other 165 h (31:22) and 167th (31:32), respectively.

Worcester State competes again next week when they host the Annual Worcester City Meet at Moore State Park.
