Daley, Hebert Pace Men's Cross Country At James Early Invitational

 

Westfield, MA --- Senior Pat Daley (Millbury, MA) was just outside the top 100 as he helped lead the Worcester State men's cross country team to 23rd place at the James Early 8k Invitational hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park this morning.

The host Owls won the meet with 77 points in a field that featured 35 teams and 347 entrants. The Lancers tallied 661 points which was just 55 away from the top 20.

Daley took home 106th with a time of 28:47.33 while junior Wesley Hebert (Leominster, MA) added 140th (29:23.94). Third-year Patrick Bova (Princeton, MA) finished 159th overall (29:39.36) followed by classmate Adam Pepin (Paxton, MA) who crossed the line in 201st (30:33.22).

Freshman Edwin Nash (Charlton, MA) rounded out the finishers for the Lancers with 231st (31:20.72).

Next week the Blue and Gold will compete at Western New England as a warm-up to the MASCAC/Alliance Championships in two weeks on November 2.
