Men's Cross Country Has Strong Finish At NCAA Regional Qualifier

 

Gorham, ME --- Junior Wesley Hebert (Leominster, MA) placed 157th overall (27:44.34) as he helped lead the Worcester State men's cross country team to 35th as a team at the NCAA Division III New England Regional qualifier this afternoon hosted by Southern Maine.

The Lancers outpaced a field that included 366 individuals representing 50 different institutions. They had the third-highest finish among MASCAC teams and the sixth-best in the competitors in the New England Alliance.

Senior Pat Daley (Millbury, MA) also notched 190th (28:20.81) to lead the team while junior Patrick Bova (Princeton, MA) registered 237th (29:10.49). Among individuals in the conference, Hebert was 11th, Daley was 15th and Bova was 20th.

Other competitors for the Blue and Gold included junior Adam Pepin (Paxton, MA), freshman Will Whearty (Walpole, MA) and sophomore Edwin Nash (Charlton, MA) who were 266th (29:34.32), 270th (29:36.90) and 311th (31:13.99), respectively.

Today's meet closes out the cross country season for the Lancers.
