Men's Cross Country Takes Home Sixth At Tri-States Invitational

 

Lincoln, RI --- Freshmen teammates Brady Phillips (Uxbridge, MA), Patrick Scheeler (Wakefield, MA) and Daniel Brunelle (Dracut, MA) all had top 30 finishes for the Worcester State men's cross country team as the Lancers claimed sixth at the Tri-States Invitational this morning.

The Lancers were just 30 points off from the top four on CCRI's 8k campus course.

Philips placed fifth with a time of 27:57.14 followed by Scheeler who clocked 20th (29:48.94) and Brunelle, who was just 11 seconds off, added 27th (29:59.67).

First-year Marques Johnson (New Haven, CT) placed 37th (30:26.64), senior Adam Pepin (Paxton, MA) recorded 41st (30:33.96) and sophomore Will Whearty (Attleboro, MA) notched a solid time of 41st (30:33.96).

Senior Wesley Hebert (Leominster, MA) rounded out the top seven for the Blue and Gold with 50th individually (31:39.41).

The Lancers will travel with the women's squad next week to compete at the Westfield State Invitational.
