Westfield, MA --- Underscored by repeat selections, seniors Patrick Bova (Millbury, MA), classmate Adam Pepin (Paxton, MA) and sophomore Will Whearty (Walpole, MA), 11 men's track student-athletes were tabbed to the MASCAC Fall All-Academic Team as announced by conference publicist Emily Diekelmann.

The squad tied for the second-most honorees in the eight-team conference with Fitchburg State.

Others who earned the prestigious accolade included freshman teammates Greg Acosta (Lawrence, MA), Marques Johnson (W. Hartford, CT), Devin Luce (Milford, MA), Brady Phillips (Uxbridge, MA), Tyler Royek (Pembroke, MA), Chris Tatsis (Grafton, MA) and Bryant Va (Lowell, MA).

To earn a spot on the MASCAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester based grade point average during their semester of competition.

Guided by Al Halper, the Blue and Gold finished in the top ten at six of the eight meets they attended during the season including a fourth place at the MASCAC Championships and 44th at the NCAA Division III New England regional qualifier.

Among institutions in the MASCAC, Worcester State had 99 overall selections on the league fall academic honor roll for the third highest total in the conference. The total number of WSU student-athletes also marked the highest since the league began listing its all-academic honor roll on a season-by-season basis during the 2009-10 academic year.
