Buzzards Bay, MA --- Senior catcher Ashley Nye and sophomore lefthander Michaella Mahoney each received nods to the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball second team this past week in voting by the leagues coaches as announced by league publicist Jim Seavey.
Bridgewater, MA -- The Bridgewater State College softball team captured a share of the MASCAC regular season title as the Bears swept a doubleheader versus Worcester State College this afternoon at Alumni Park in Bridgewater.
Leicester, MA --- Worcester State took both ends of their softball doubleheader with Becker College by the final scores of 12-1 and 8-6. Junior Katherine Kelly helped lead the charge as she went 5-for-6 with two runs and a pair of RBIs.
This afternoon's softball double-header against Becker College has been postponed until Thursday, April 23. The doubleheader will start a 3 PM at Becker.
Framingham, MA -- The Framingham State College softball team picked up two key Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) victories today at Farley Field in Framingham as they swept the Worcester State Lancers winning both games in six innings by the identical score of 8-0.

Worcester, MA --- Worcester State drew a split with MCLA in MASAC softball action this afternoon at Rockwood Park. Sophomore Michaella Mahoney hurled a one-hit gem in a 2-0 victory in game one before the Trailblazers edged out the Lancers, 2-1, in the nightcap.
Worcester, MA --- Clark freshman Erin Murphy and sophomore Katherine Tutela combined for six hits and two RBIs in a 9-4 victory in game one and then Murphy drove in the game-winning run in a 1-0 triumph as the Cougars swept Worcester State at Rockwood Park in non-conference softball action this evening.
Worcester, MA --- WPI senior Sarah Migdal hammered a pair of home runs in an 11-1 five inning victory over Worcester State in game one and then the Lancers earned a hard-fought 3-1 triumph to split their doubleheader against the Engineers at Rockwood Park in non conference softball this evening.
Fitchburg, MA --- The Fitchburg State softball team was swept by MASCAC foe Worcester State College this afternoon at Coolidge Park. The Lancers out-dueled the Falcons in game one, 2-0 before winning the nightcap 7-1.
Worcester, MA --- Western Connecticut junior Rebecca Andruskiwec went 4-for-6 while sophomore Brittany Connors and freshman Magen Dargon combined for two shutouts while allowing seven hits as the Colonials swept Worcester State on Thursday 7-0 and 8-0 in non-conference softball action.
Worcester, MA --- Tomorrow's MASCAC opening doubleheader against Westfield State that was scheduled to be played on Saturday afternoon will be postponed to Sunday, April 4 at Rockwood Park on the campus of Worcester State College. The first game will start at 1 PM.
Chicopee, MA -- Worcester State junior third baseman Maura Crossman went 2 for 4 and junior first baseman Katherine Kelly delivered the eventual game-winning RBI single in the top of the seventh inning to help send the visiting Lancers to a 2-1 win over Elms College in Wednesdays non-conference softball game at Condon Field.
Paxton, MA --- Sophomore Michaela Mahoney hurled a complete-game shutout to lift the Worcester State College softball team to a 1-0 victory over Anna Maria College in a classic pitchers duel on a rainy Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Lancers improve their season record to 2-8-1, while the loss drops the AMCATS to 1-12 on the year.
Providence, RI --- RIC junior right fielder Michelle Perrin and sophomore left fielder Kayla Jandreau helped Rhode Island College sweep a doubleheader from Worcester State on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss the Lancers slip to 1-8-1 on the young season.
Worcester, MA --- After missing the MASCAC playoffs in each of the past three seasons, this years Worcester State Softball team will contend for the conference crown. With several additions to the pitching staff along with key returners coming back to the starting lineup, the Lancers should be one of the final four teams standing at the end of the regular season.
