WESTFIELD, Mass. – 34 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been honored for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2025 Spring Sportsmanship Teams.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for
their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball
honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Worcester, MA- After a battle in the opening round action versus Moravian to begin their NCAA Regional, the Worcester State Softball team (27-13, 9-5) looked to keep their hopes alive versus the Eastern University Eagles (29-10, 12-2) of the Commonwealth Conference. The two teams share a common opponent in Clark University whom both teams claimed victories off of.
Worcester, MA- Looking to make it 18 straight on the season the Worcester State Lancers Softball team (27-12, 9-5) journeyed to Moravian University in Bethlehem Pennsylvania to take on the 18th seeded Greyhounds (36-7, 13-3) of the Landmark conference in the opening game of the NCAA Regionals hosted by Moravian. The Greyhounds come in after taking down Catholic University in the Landmark Conference Championship for the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The two teams have a common opponent in Juniata College this year whom the Lancers faced in Florida, grabbing a 14-3 victory over.
Worcester, MA- With their 17th Straight Win the Worcester State Softball team took home the 2025 MASCAC Championship crown with a 5-3 win over Framingham State. Along with the title, the Lancers also claimed a MASCAC Championship MVP and to player of the week honors during their post season run. Sophomore’s Peyton Maloney (West Boylston, MA), MASCAC Championship MVP, and Cali Brouillard (Millbury, MA) were named this week’s MASCAC players of the week. Maloney would claim the Pitcher of the Week honors while Brouillard took home the Player of the Week accolades.
Worcester, MA- After 16 straight wins to close out the regular season and advance through the playoffs, Worcester State (26-12, 9-5) is knocking on the door to a MASCAC Championship today. Defeating the first and second seeds to advance through the quarterfinals and semifinals, Worcester State is in the driver seat as they face off with second seeded Framingham State (27-14, 10-4), last year’s MASCAC Champion, for the Championship and automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. One win for Worcester out of two chances will seal the bid for the Lancers.
Worcester, MA- Making it 15 straight with a crucial win over Framingham State in the quarterfinals on Thursday, the Lancers Softball team (25-12, 9-5) advanced to the MASCAC semifinals winner pod where they would take on the #1 seeded Westfield State (32-9, 11-3). In the regular season the Lancers provided Westfield one of their three losses with a 7-0 victory.
Worcester, MA- After claiming their 14 straight win in dominant fashion just last night, the third seeded Worcester State Softball team (24-12, 9-5) is looking to grab not only their 15th straight but their first win over Framingham State (25-13, 10-4) second seeded Rams. This is the first in a double elimination playoff format with the winner advancing to the semifinals with the loser advancing to the losers bracket of the semifinal play in.
Westfield, Mass. — Worcester State’s Emma Lanpher and Westfield State’s Katherine Canty have been named the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and head up the all-conference squad which is voted on by the coaches from around the conference.
Worcester, MA- After closing out the regular season with 13 straight wins, the Lancers Softball team (23-12, 9-5) was focused on a bit of revenge over the MCLA Trailblazers (12-21, 5-8), who are on their own 10 game losing streak, who swept Worcester back at the start of April. MCLA won each game with a 6-5 score, needing nine innings in the first game to grab the win. This single game this evening was a winner take all battle with the victor advancing to take on Framingham State on Thursday at 4pm in the first double elimination action.
Worcester, MA- In the final meetings of the regular season, the Worcester State Softball team (21-12, 7-5) look to wrap up the season with a sweep and make it thirteen straight as they welcome the Mass. Maritime Buccaneers in a moved up season ending series. Today’s games are also played in honor of this year’s senior class of Sarah Gosselin (Charlton, MA), Emma Lanpher (Charlton, MA), Abigail Koziol (Lunenburg, MA) and Jordan Geloso (Rutland, MA).
Worcester, MA- Fresh off the heels of two big wins yesterday over Salem State that extended the Lancers (19-12, 7-5) win streak to nine, Worcester is back in action, this time moving out of conference to take on the Suffolk Rams in a bid to go 11 straight.
Worcester State University Softball is dedicating today’s games to the life and legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University Lacrosse student-athlete who died tragically in July 2019 after battling mental health struggles. Although Morgan’s life was cut way too short, her legacy of unconditional love remains. Worcester, MA- Looking to end the day stretching their win streak to nine the Worcester State Softball team (17-12, 5-5) welcomed Salem State to Ralph Raymond in a crucial end of regular season matchup. Worcester faces the Vikings in their second to last conference series in what could become a crucial outcome for final seeding in the postseason.
Worcester, MA- After a 4-0 week for the Lancers, Worcester State Softball had sophomore Peyton Maloney (West Boylston, MA) named the MASCAC Pitcher of the week.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Softball team (15-12, 5-5), coming off five straight wins, take a step away from conference play this afternoon to travel to Lasell to take on the Lasers in a midweek non-conference grudge match. Worcester has been on a recent role that has seen them get back over .500 and settle the conference record and they will look to keep that momentum alive this afternoon to go seven straight.
Worcester, MA- After a crucial sweep of the Bears this past weekend, the Lancers (13-12, 3-5) return to action today versus the Falcons in a bid to get back to .500 in the conference schedule and stick to their winning ways. With three straight wins under their belt, Worcester is looking to end the Patriot’s Day action with five straight to head into the week.
Worcester, MA- After a split on Thursday in a fun non-conference outing at Rhode Island College, the Lancers (11-12, 1-5) are back in conference play for their first conference home game of the season versus the Bridgewater State bears (10-12, 3-3).
Worcester, MA- The Lancers softball team (10-11, 1-5) takes a step away from conference play this Thursday to journey down to Rhode Island College for a makeup meeting with the Anchormen. The game would also be a reunion of sorts for Worcester as their former assistant coach turned RIC Head Coach partnered with star Pitcher Emily Bartlett ‘24 to help guide RIC this season. The team will look for the win alongside a good dose of good time softball in today’s break from a gruelling conference schedule.
Worcester, MA- After a week off the diamond the Lancers Softball team (10-9, 1-3) is back in conference action as they journey to Framingham State to take on the Rams in a crucial game for postseason placement. Framingham currently sits atop the conference leader board and Worcester wants to claim the wins to see each team at .500 in the conference at the end of the day.

Worcester, MA- Worcester State Softball (7-6, 0-0) opens up their conference schedule today as they journey west to take on MCLA (6-6, 0-0) in a wet and misty meeting with the Trailblazers. The Lancers are looking at ending the week over their current .500 mark with a sweeping victory over MCLA.
Worcester, MA- After rainy weather pushed back the conference start for Worcester State Softball (7-6, 0-0) the Lancers will remain non-conference today as they host Gordon College in a late afternoon meeting in a jam-packed week of Softball action.
Worcester, MA- After a thrilling sweep in a hometown battle versus Clark on Tuesday, the Worcester State Softball team (7-4, 0-0) now journey down Park Ave to face WPI in a jointly hosted Worcester Youth Softball Game day with games and autographs expected.
Worcester, MA- In their return to action from Spring Break the Worcester State Softball team (5-4, 0-0) will welcome Ralph Raymond Diamond the Clark Cougars (7-5, 0-0) for their home opener of the season. In last year’s meeting the Lancers not only recorded two wins but had a 100th career hit and a grand slam. Worcester hopes to follow that example this afternoon as junior Emma Lapoint (Westfield, MA) began the day just three hits away from her career 100th.
Worcester, MA- In the final day of Spring Break action, the Lancers softball team (5-2, 0-0) would wrap it up with a New York battle as they took on Clarkson and Buffalo State. After splitting yesterday, Worcester is looking to get back to their winning ways before starting the rest of the regular schedule back in New England.
Worcester, MA- After a strong start to the week the Worcester State Softball team is looking to continue their dominant presence on the back end of their Spring Break trip as they take on Coe College and Augsburg State in a Thursday morning battle at Legends Way in Florida.
Worcester, MA- After a double victory day on day two, the Worcester State Softball team (2-1, 0-0) returned to action this morning in another double game set. Game one would see the Lancers meet on the diamond with the University of Rutgers-Camden before wrapping up their day versus Juniata to close out day three action in Florida.
Worcester, MA- After a late storm last night that prevented Worcester from getting two in, the Worcester State Softball team (0-1,0-0) was determined to grab their first win of the season in day two action. The afternoon action would start with a meeting with the Milwaukee School of Engineering before wrapping up the sunlight versus Eastern Connecticut.
Worcester, MA- In the season opener for the Worcester State Softball team, they kicked off their action in a midday New England meeting as they faced off with the University of New England Nor’Easters, who had just started their season the game before with a 5-4 loss to Babson. They had expected to end the opening day versus SUNY Plattsburgh in some late afternoon action, but a late storm cancelled the afternoon meeting of the teams.
Westfield, Mass.— After winning the regular season crown in 2024, Westfield State has been picked by the conference coaches to repeat as the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Champions.
