Keri Bianchini took over as head coach of the Worcester State University softball team in advance of the 2019 season. Prior to her promotion into the Lancers' head job, Bianchini served as an assistant coach for the Lancers for two seasons, following a four-year stint as a head coach of a women’s league in Norfolk, Virginia.

As a coach of the women’s team, Bianchini brought her team to national tournaments in Las Vegas and Wisconsin. Prior to her coaching stint, Bianchini played on the team for six years and had first place finishes in Washington D.C. and Dallas, Texas.

Bianchini was a standout softball player at Merrimack College as she was a four-year starter for the Warriors. She was member of the 1994 NCAA Division II Softball Championship team. In her four-year career with Merrimack, she was named to the first team All-NE 10 Conference three times, earned All-New England and All-America honors, and was awarded the All-Tournament Conference MVP in her junior year. In her senior year, Bianchini was selected to the college All-Star team that played against the USA women’s Olympic softball team.
