BREWSTER, Mass. - Three members of the Worcester State University women's golf team competed Sunday in Round 1 of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships at The Captains Golf Course.
Leading the way for the Lancers was freshman Courtney Prescott (Auburn, Mass.), who carded a 104 on the day.
Worcester State's second finisher was freshman Lyle dela Cruz (Braintree, Mass.) with a 112. Rounding out Worcester's scores was sophomore Lindsay Guittarr (Auburn, Mass.), who turned in a 139.
All three players were playing in their first collegiate matches for the Lancers on the day.
The Lancers will be back in action for Round 2 tomorrow at The Captains Golf Course on Cape Cod.
