Chicopee, MA --- Worcester State freshman Jaclyn Lawlor (Westford, MA) has been tabbed to the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance All-Conference team in a vote by the leagues nine head coaches. Lawlor earned second-team honors as a midfielder.

Lawlor, who was voted the teams most valuable player last week in a ballot cast by her teammates, finished the season with a squad best 32 markers and nine helpers for 41 points. Lawlor was also second on the squad in draw controls (38) and forced miscues (16) while placed third on the team in ground balls (39).

Among conference leaders, Lawlor was in the top 20 finishing the regular season, 11th in caused turnovers, 14th in draws and 16th in ground balls as offensively she was knotted with one other player for 16th in goals, tied with freshman Riley Cachelin (Westwood, MA) of Bridgewater State for 17th in points.

Lawlor was also instrumental in helping the team break the school-record for ground balls with 382. She was the first freshman to lead the Lancers in scoring since Ann Clark accomplished the feat by leading Division III in goals per game in 2004 with an eye-popping 84 goals in 14 games.

Lawlor was one of three first-year women's lacrosse players on 24-person the All-NEWLA team as she was joined by Cachelin who was garnered with First-Team laurels as an attacker and Second-Team net minder Tenley Gillett (Manchester, MA) of Mass Maritime.

In the final season playing in the NEWLA, the Lancers finished the season 3-12 and 3-5 for sixth place in the nine-team loop. With Elms and Becker leaving for the NECC next year, the remaining schools will make-up a new MASCAC women's lacrosse conference and retain the NEWLA's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
