Lawlor Tabbed MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

 

Buzzards Bay, MA --- Sophomore Jaclyn Lawlor (Westford, MA) has been named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for her efforts in a triumph over Rivier this past Sunday. 

Lawlor paced the Lancers with five goals and one assist in a 21-15 victory over the Raiders. With the triumph, the Blue and Gold have equalled their win total from last season to remain unbeaten at 3-0. During their 2012 campaign, Worcester State went 3-12 overall.

Through her first three games of the season, Lawlor is currently tied for seventh in the MASCAC in points (11) and she is tied for ninth in goals (8). In their win against Rivier, she became the 16th women's lacrosse player to join the 50-point club as she is now tied for 14th on the all-time scoring list with 52 points.

During her freshman campaign, Lawlor was a second-team All-NEWLA selection who led the squad with 32 markers to go with nine helpers for a team-best 41 points. As a rookie, she was also in the top 20 in the conference in caused turnovers (11th - 16), draw controls (14th - 38) and ground balls (16th – 39).

The Lancers continue their season with UMass Dartmouth today at 4 PM and Adrian on Saturday at 1 o'clock.
