Sutherland and Little Named to MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse First Team All-Conference

MASCAC All-Conference Release

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's Angelina Sutherland (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and Mackenzie Little (Marlboro, Mass.) have both been named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) First-Team All-Conference, as announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.

 

Sutherland led not only her team, but also the conference in assists this season with 43. She completes her career at Worcester State with 108 all-time assists, good for second place in the Worcester State record book. She tallied a team-high 67 points (2nd in the conference) as she also recorded 24 goals in the season. She want 50 percent in free position attempts (10-20) and registered a team-high 44 ground balls, a team-high 22 caused turnovers, and 65 draw controls (2nd in the conference).

 

Little, a junior midfielder, led the team in goals this season with 47, and assisted 11 goals this season to total 58 points on offense. She went 9-for-19 in free position shots and drew a conference-high 79 draw controls in the 2017 campaign.

 

Bridgewater State's Melissa Renauld (Framingham, Mass.) has been tabbed the MASCAC player of the year, while Framingham State's Grace Gamache (Dartmouth, Mass.) earned the rookie of the year honors. The MASCAC's champion's coach of the year is Erica Adams of Bridgewater State.
