Austin and Baldrate Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

2019 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Two members of the Worcester State University women's lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Roll.

Rising seniors Kelly Austin (Brimfield, Mass.) and Isabell Baldrate (Plymouth, Mass.) represented the Lancers on the list of 652 Division III student-athletes representing 172 institutions. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic grade point average of 3.50 or higher. 

Austin was Worcester State's leader in goals (39), assists (25), and points (64) in her junior season. She scooped up 39 ground balls on the year and caused 10 turnovers. At the end of the season, Austin was named to the MASCAC All-Conference First Team.

Baldrate appeared in the first two games of the year for the Lancers before going down with a season-ending injury. In two games played, the defender recorded three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
