
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse team has been tabbed to finish fourth in the 2025 MASCAC Preseason poll as voted on by the conference coaches. After finishing the last season 10-9 and 4-2 in the conference, falling in the MASCAC semifinals to Westfield State, the Lancers look to finish with their first conference championship this season.
Finishing top in the voting was Westfield State with 35 points and five first place votes just edging out Framingham State who claimed 2nd with 31 points and a first-place vote. Grabbing the last first place vote and 25 points for third was Bridgewater State.
Landing in fourth with 22 points is Worcester State who was 4-2 in 2024 MASCAC competition. Over 19 games last season, Mckayla Fisher tallied 40 points on 21 goals and 19 assists while also collecting 57 draws, 51 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers for the Lancers.
Fitchburg State would claim 16 points for fifth while Mass. Maritime would claim 6th on 11 points and Salem State would round out the conference with seven points for seventh place.
The Lancers begin their 2025 season on February 22nd at Wellesley College.
