Title: Assistant Coach

Angela Grassetti joined the Worcester State University women’s lacrosse team as an assistant coach for the 2016-2017 season with four years of collegiate playing experience in women’s lacrosse at Worcester State. During her time as a student-athlete, Grassetti was a member of multiple Worcester State committees and clubs and earned several accolades and awards.

As an undergraduate at Worcester State, Grassetti was a member of the Athletic Mentor Program, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and served as an academic peer mentor. She was named co-captain of the women’s lacrosse team and earned several athletic accolades including: MASCAC First Team, MASCAC All Academic First Team, ECAC New England All Star Honors, 50 point club, and Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Grassetti was also recognized for her dedication, leadership qualities, and good sportsmanship when she was awarded the female “Lancer” award. In addition to her commitment at Worcester State, Grassetti also worked at Agawam High School as the girls’ varsity assistant lacrosse coach for the 2016 season.

Additionally, Grassetti participated in multiple community service events including: Special Olympics field day and basketball tournament, Providence Children’s Hospital, and the Doherty High School Lacrosse Clinic.

Grassetti graduated from Worcester State in 2015 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Studies. She is currently a graduate student at Worcester State and anticipates earning her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2017.
