Howland’s Two Goals Earn Her MASCAC Weekly Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University’s senior forward, Ashleigh Howland (Wilmington, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s soccer player of the week, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.

 

Howland finished the week with two goals for four points in a 1-1-1 week for the Lancers. She tallied a goal in the 3-3 draw with Salve Regina University and then scored the game-winning goal in the Lancers’ 1-0 shutout over Clark University on Saturday.

 

Howland currently leads the MASCAC in goals (3), game-winning goals (1), and points (6).

 

The women’s soccer team resumes play tomorrow (Sep. 12) when they host WPI in a cross-town matchup.
