WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University’s freshman Rachel Dixson (Douglas, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s soccer rookie of the week, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
In this past Saturday’s game against MASCAC rivals, Westfield State, Dixson scored a goal off a free kick about 35-yards out that arched over the defenders and bounced off the crossbar into the net.
Currently this season, Dixson has totaled two goals on six shots.
The Worcester State women’s soccer team is back in action tomorrow night, as they host Keene State in a 7 p.m. non-conference tilt.
