North Dartmouth, MA --- Six Worcester State student-athletes have been named to the Fall Little East Academic Team as announced this past week by Media Relations Director Jack Hollaran. The six student-athletes included five field hockey players and one representative from the women’s tennis team.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State swept all three doubles matches and added victories in two singles matches to post a 5-4 win over Wentworth in womens tennis action. The Lancers end their season at 6-8, an improvement of two wins from a year ago.

Worcester, MA --- Worcester State dropped an 8-1 decision to Clark this evening in non conference women's tennis. Senior Courteney Blais improved her season record to 8-2 with triumph in two sets at third doubles for the Lancers only point of the contest.
Worcester, MA --- Western Connecticut took home victories in five singles matches and two sets in doubles play to defeat Worcester State, 7-2, this afternoon in Little East Conference action. Freshman Brooke Michanczyk highlighted a pair of strong performances as she won a point at sixth singles and teamed with sophomore Jackie Shaw for a win at third doubles.
Paxton, MA --- The Worcester State University womens tennis team blanked Anna Maria College, 9-0, Friday afternoon at the Paxton Sports Centre. With the triumph, the Lancers (5-5) have surpassed their win total from last season when they finished the 2009 campaign at 4-9.
Shrewsbury, MA --- Worcester State lost 7-2 to UMass Boston in Little East Conference action this afternoon at Shrewsbury High School. Senior Courteney Blais and sophomore Erin Desmarais each posted wins in the setback for the Lancers.

Senior Courteney Blais and Ashley Perkins were dealt their first setback of the season at first doubles while Blais also lost for the first time at third doubles.
Leicester, MA --- Trailing 2-1 after the doubles sets, Worcester State University captured four of the six singles matches to post a 5-4 victory over Becker College in non conference womens tennis action this afternoon. With the triumph, the Blue and Gold avenge a 6-3 setback to the Hawks last season.

Senior Courteney Blais was a bright spot as she earned a win at third doubles and teamed up with sophomore Marissa Boss for a victory at second doubles.
Brookline, MA --- The Worcester State women's tennis team defeated Newbury 6-3 in non conference action as they were paced by senior Ashley Perkins who won at first singles while she paired with classmate Courteny Blais to win her first doubles matchup.
North Dartmouth, MA --- Worcester State University has joined the Little East Conference as an associate member in womens tennis for the upcoming 2010 schedule after the conferences athletic administrators accepted the Lancers application at the annual June meeting.
