Dorchester, MA --- Senior Christy Deininger (N. Attleboro, MA) placed second overall in the 60 meter hurdles, breaking her own school record with a time of 8.92 as she helped lead the Worcester State women's indoor track and field team to tie for 35th place at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Northeastern at the Reggie Lewis Center.

The Lancers finished with nine points to tie for 35th place overall which was 14th among institutions from New England and the second-highest finish in the MASCAC.

Deininger, who entered the meet with the 15th best time in Division III with a converted 55 meter hurdle split (8.93) from her MASCAC/Alliance title three weeks ago, moved up to 14th nationally, which should be good enough to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
