STATEN ISLAND, NY – Worcester State University sent three women student-athletes to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships which took place at Ocean Breeze Athletic Center from Mar. 4-5.
Senior Francesca Casasanta (Milford, Mass.) came close to a top-8 finish, as she placed ninth in the women's high jump for a distance of 1.59m.
Senior Hanna Carson (Natick, Mass.) came in at 11th in the shot put event at 11.43m. Teammate Molly Downing (Dedham, Mass.) registered a distance of 13.43m in the women's weight throw for a 21st place finish.
"It was a great finish for the season for the three seniors," commented head coach Andrea Ouellette. "They have worked incredibly hard to get to this championship meet in indoor track & field. They are looking to ocninue their successes in outdoor track & field."
