WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's freshman Hannah LoChiatto (Harvard, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's indoor field athlete and rookie of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Jan. 22) afternoon.

This past weekend at the Springfield College Maroon & White Classic, LoChiatto placed first in the high jump with a personal record of 1.62m (5-03.75) during the jump off. With this result, she presently stands at 15th nationally in the event.

LoChiatto also competed in the 400 Meter Dash (1:05.66) this past weekend.

"Hannah continues to impress week after week," commented head coach Andrea Ouellette.  "She puts in hard work every day at practice and always has a positive attitude. I can't wait to see what she can accomplish the rest of the season, the sky is the limit for her!"

The women's track & field team is back in action this weekend, and will head to Tufts for the Branwen Smith-King Invite.
