McFadries Marks Second Place Finish in Javelin Throw at ECAC Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Worcester State University women's outdoor track & field team scored nine points in their 30th place finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Wednesday and Thursday on the campus of Westfield State.

 

Worcester State's freshman javelin thrower, Stephanie McFadries (Burlington, Mass.) logged the points as she came in second place in the women's javelin throw for a personal record of 41.50m. With this marking, she currently stands at 18th out of all Division III competitors.

 

Molly Downing (Dedham, Mass.) came in eighth place in the hammer throw for a top throw of 47.58m, while Hanna Carson (Natick, Mass.) came in 13th in the shot put at 12.27m.

 
 

Dalena Le (Worcester, Mass.) came in 10th place in the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.81), while teammate Abigail Danso (Worcester, Mass.) placed 23rd in the 100 Meter Hurdles in a time of 15.69
