WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - A trio of Worcester State University men's and women's outdoor track & field student-athletes competed Wednesday evening at the Williams Final Qualifier at Lee Track.
Sophomore John Ojukwu (Stow, Mass.) ran a time of 10.91 seconds in the 100 meter dash, finishing in second place in the finals. He turned in a time of 10.89 seconds in the preliminary round to win his heat.
Junior Eddy Acuna (Newton, Mass.) finished in second place in the discus throw on the evening with a toss of 44.68 meters.
Sophomore Bernice Mensah (Worcester, Mass.) competed in the triple jump on the evening, reaching a distance 10.80 meters for a third place finish.
Worcester State will be right back in action on Thursday at another Final Qualifier, this time at MIT.
