Women's Volleyball Takes Home 3-0 Victory Over Bay Path

 

Holyoke, MA --- Senior Vicki O'Brien (Canton, MA) finished with a game-best 10 digs and seven service aces to help Worcester State defeated Bay Path, 3-0, this evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at Holyoke Community College.

The Lancers (4-9) dispatched the Wildcats (1-12) in straight sets, 25-15, 25-5 and 25-5.

Junior Amanda Lewis (Poughkeepsie, NY) had another solid outing with 19 assists and five digs while sophomore Jennifer Cabral (Swansea, MA) pitched in with five of her squad's 15 service aces.

Senior Megan Brown (Dartmouth, MA) finished with 10 kills and junior Alyssa Jasper (Rockland, MA) raised her attacking clip mark for the season with a solid .455 hitting percentage that included seven kills in 11 attempts (7-2-11).

With 993 digs in her four-year career, O'Brien has a good chance to become the first WSU student-athlete to go over the 1,000 mark on Saturday in a MASCAC matchup against MCLA at Assumption at 12 PM.

The Wildcats will entertain Newbury to kick-off NECC play at Elms College on Saturday at 1 o'clock.
