King Earns Second Consecutive MASCAC Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's junior outside hitter, Amari King (Lawrence, Mass.) earned her second consecutive (third this season) Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) player of the week award, as announced by the conference Monday (Oct. 9) afternoon.

 

This past week, King averaged 16.67 kills, 13.33 digs and two assists with two service aces in a 3-0 week for the Lancers.

 

She collected nine kills, 12 digs, two assists and a service ace in the win over Becker College. King then wrapped up the week with double-doubles of 18 kills and 10 digs and a season-best 23 kills and 18 digs in the tri-match wins over Colby-Sawyer and Eastern Nazarene.

 

The Lancers' upcoming games include a home MASCAC game against Salem State on Tuesday (Oct. 10), a non-conference game at UMass Dartmouth on Thursday (Oct. 12) and they will face Framingham State and Plymouth State in a tri-match in Framingham on Saturday (Oct. 14).
