Amari King Selected to Play in NEWVA Senior Classic

BEVERLY, Mass. - Amari King (Lawrence, Mass.), a senior on the Worcester State University volleyball team, has been selected to compete in the New England Women's Volleyball Association Senior Classic All-Star Game.

The game will be played on Sunday, December 2 at Eastern Nazarene College's Lahue Physical Education Center, and will feature the top senior Division III women's volleyball players from across New England. The day will kick off with knockout and "Queen of the Court" competitions starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by the All-Star Game at 12:30 p.m.

King finished her senior season at Worcester State with a team high 320 kills, good for second in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference. She also recorded 345 digs, which was the fourth most in the MASCAC.

King was named the MASCAC Player of the Week four times this season. She was instrumental in the Lancers 23-11 record, which included a perfect mark of 7-0 in the MASCAC. King would go on to lead Worcester State to their second consecutive MASCAC Championship. At the end of the season, King was named the MASCAC Player of the Year for the second straight year and was named to the All-Conference First Team.
