Women's Volleyball Tamed by Keene State

KEENE, N.H. - The Worcester State University women's volleyball team struggled offensively on Tuesday evening, falling 3-0 to Keene State College in non-conference action at Spaulding Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-18, 25-13, 25-22.

With the loss, the Lancers drop to 3-8 overall on the 2019 season.

Natalie Gillis (Ashland, Mass.) led Worcester State offensively with a 12-kill effort, but the Lancers as a team had an attack percentage of just .034 in the match. Senior Stephanie Chapin (Hampden, Mass.) chipped in eight of her own, while senior setter Katie Gagnon (Hampden, Mass.) dished out 21 assists.

On the defensive side of the ball, Chapin led the way for Worcester State with 13 digs. Libero Brooke Lamothe (Tewksbury, Mass.) contributed a dozen of her own.

The Lancers will look to snap its three-match losing skid when they return home to host Becker on Thursday evening. The first serve from John P. Brissette Court will be made at 7 p.m.
