Women's Volleyball Upended in Regular Season Finale

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - The Worcester State University women's volleyball was upended by a final score of 3-0 in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference contest Saturday morning at Framingham State University. Set scores were 25-15, 25-15, 25-17.

With the loss, Worcester State's regular season ends with an overall record of 8-19 and 3-4 in the MASCAC.

Sophomore Leelle Tyler (Longmeadow, Mass.) was the top Lancer on the day offensively, with six kills with just one error for an attack percentage of .385. The rest of the Lancers however combined for 19 kills and 19 errors. 

Right behind Tyler offensively were senior Stephanie Chapin (Hampden, Mass.) and sophomore Natalie Gillis (Ashland, Mass.), who each recorded five kills.

Libero Madison Kuzio (Franklin, Mass.) led all players on the day with 16 digs in the contest, while also dishing out three assists and notching a service ace. Senior Katie Gagnon (Hampden, Mass.) dished out 18 assists and recorded eight digs for the Lancers.

Worcester State will play in the opening round of the MASCAC Tournament on Tuesday evening.
