Bryan Russell returned to the Worcester State women's volleyball team at the start of the 2019 season. Coach Russell joined the coaching staff as a student assistant coach as an undergraduate following the 2009-10 campaign. He previously served as a team manager and statistician for two seasons.

For his outstanding contributions to the volleyball team as an undergraduate he was honored with a distinguished service award at the athletics award banquet in the spring of 2010.

In the summer of 2011, Coach Russell coached the women's central open team while he has also played on the central men's team for the last two years. Coach Russell also has experience coaching the Bancroft School JV squad for two seasons.

Russel is a 2010 graduate of Worcester State with a degree in Business Administration.
