In 2017 Chase was chosen as the Champion’s Choice Coach of the Year for leading his team to the MASCAC regular season title with an undefeated 7-0 league record and a second-highest win total of 26. He then helped his team win its first-ever MASCAC tournament championship. The Lancers earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III tournament and headed to Atlanta to take on No. 7 Emory in the tournament.

During the 2014 season, the Lancers compiled a 24-10 overall mark and won their first ECAC Tournament contest since 1984. Worcester State has also earned berths to the ECAC Division III New England Women's Volleyball Tournament in 2008 and 2010.

Coach Chase has been involved with volleyball for more than 20 years as he was the assistant coach at Becker College for three years prior to being at Worcester State. In 2017-18 Coach Chase coached a 16U Dragons Volleyball club team.
