Women's Cross Country Earns Eighth At Western New England

 

Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Erin Beccia (Rutland, MA) took home fifth overall out of 210 runners (20:09.09) to help lead the Worcester State women's cross country team to eighth as a team at the Western New England Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Other solid performances included senior Maggie Ingraham (Danvers, MA) who placed 41st (21:30.84), sophomore Katherine Becker (Haverhill, MA) recorded 60th and freshman Sara McIsaac (Weymouth, MA) notched 94th (23:10.72).

Sophomore Melanie Hunter (Maynard, MA) clocked 107th (23:35.62), freshman Justine Murdocca (Milford, MA) added 113th and the Lancer competitors were rounded out by classmate Jaime Sullivan (Hubbardston, MA) who finished in 129th (24:04.47).

THe Lancers will take a week off before competing at the MASCAC/Alliance Championships hosted by MCLA at Mount Greylock - the same site as the NCAA Division III New England regional qualifier in the middle of November.
