Gary Jusseaume '73
Title: Class of 1998

Gary Jusseaume '73 was outstanding in cross-country and both indoor and outdoor track for the Lancers. He was a captain of all three teams. While he was a member of the track team, he established records in the 880, mile, the 4 x 440 relay, distance medley relay, sprint medley relay and was a member of the 4 x 100 relay team which set the record of 43.3 in 1971. The record still stands today! He participated in two outdoor track NCAA track and field championships and was also selected to several Massachusetts State College Conference all star teams for cross country and track.

He was the head coach of cross country and track at Marlborough High School for three years and was the head coach at Assumption College in both sports from 1975 to 1981 and his teams at Assumption competed in the NCAA II National Championships in both sports. He is currently the head coach of track at Maynard High School where he is employed as a teacher of English and writing.

He was the head coach of the National Youth Games track team in Kingston, Jamaica in 1980.
