Gary Pierce '94
Title: Class of 2001

Gary Pierce, '94, was an exceptional member of the Lancer football team for four years and was selected a CoSIDA Academic All American in 1993, He was a team captain and outstanding role model as a student-athlete. "As good a player as Gary was, he was an even better person both socially and academically," says Brien Cullen, Gary's former football coach.

As a freshman, Gary was selected to the New England Football Conference (NEFC) 1st team as a defense back in 1990 and was selected to the NEFC All Star 1st team in 1993 as a quarterback.

At the time of his graduation from Worcester State College, Gary held the school records for most pass completions in a career, 191, the most career passing yards, 2,674 and the most touchdown passes, 16.

After earning his Master's Degree at Northeastern University, Gary worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital and was an adjunct faculty member at LaSalle College. He received a fellowship to the University of Florida and is currently enrolled in their doctoral program for Exercise Physiology.
