WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University women’s basketball team will be hosting their 20th annual “Nine and Dine” Golf Tournament on Sunday, Sep. 25 at Blackstone National with a 3:30 p.m. shotgun start.
This annual event is a major fundraiser for the team. With the funds, the team is able to purchase needed practice equipment.
“It’s always a great time for our friends and alumnae of the Worcester State women’s basketball team,” stated head coach Karen Tessmer. “We look forward to this event every year, and it’s not only a great way to reconnect with our alumnae, but also for others to meet our players, coaches and just simply enjoy an afternoon of golf.”
The cost to play is $90 per person and includes nine holes of golf with a cart, a golfer packet with gifts, snacks, and a full dinner and unlimited use of the range. There also will be giveaways, contests, and prizes throughout the event.
The team is also seeking sponsorships for the event, anywhere from the PREP sponsorship of $35 to the WNBA level of $200.
