Ice Hockey Gives Back To Children's Friend During Holiday Season

On December 19, the men's ice hockey team donated clothes, bedding and toys to the Children's Friend Foundation as a way to give back to the Worcester Community during the holiday season.

The Children's Friend Foundation, which is located on Cedar Street in Worcester, will provide the donations to eight needy families who live in the greater Central Massachusetts area.

"The organization gives the gifts to the parents and everything is anonymous," said senior Nathan Stanley. "The goal of the organization is to build the moral of family.

"Gifts given to the parents, which are provided to the children and the children have no idea the gifts are donated."

Since 1849, the Children's Friend has been active in supporting children and families whose lives have been affected by difficulties including abuse, neglect, family instability, death, substance abuse and mental, emotional and physical problems.

The organization helps provide the highest quality of services designed to meet the mental and emotional needs of children and strengthen families.
