WORCESTER, Mass. - The 2019 schedule for the Worcester State University women's tennis team was officially released on Wednesday morning.
Worcester State will play 17 regular season matches this fall, including four home matches. For the second consecutive year, all home matches will be played at Wachusett Regional High School in nearby Holden, Mass.
The Lancers open their 2019 campaign on Saturday, August 31 with a road match against Wentworth Institute of Technology, with a location and time to be announced. It will mark the seventh consecutive season that Worcester State opens its season against Wentworth, with a 4-2 record in that span.
The match against Wentworth is the first match of a season-opening eight match road trip, before Worcester State finally plays at home against Salem State on Saturday, September 21.
The Lancers also host Castleton (October 2), Bridgewater State (October 5), and UMass Dartmouth (October 8) in other home LEC competition in 2019.
Worcester State wraps up its regular season on Saturday, October 12 when the Lancers travel north for an LEC matchup against Plymouth State. The LEC Tournament begins three days later on October 15, with the championship match slated for October 19.
