Worcester State Volleyball Selected to Repeat as MASCAC Champion

MASCAC Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University women's volleyball team has been selected to repeat as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) regular season champion in a preseason poll voted on by MASCAC coaches.

The Lancers received 6 of a possible 8 first place votes and totaled 48 points in all.

Last season, the team recorded their finest year in history winning the MASCAC regular season and post season tournament crowns.  The team played national power Emory University in the first first round of the NCAA tournament in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Lancers begin their quest to repeat last season onSeptember 1st against WPI in the Worcester City Tournament hosted by Clark University.
