Mission: The Worcester State University Athletic Training staff provides prevention, evaluation, management and treatment of athletic injuries sustained by our varsity athletes. Our staff includes licensed and board certified athletic trainers, and an orthopedic physician from the UMass Sports Medicine Clinic. We are committed to providing the best possible care for all of our student-athletes.
Locations and Hours: The Worcester State University athletic training room is located on the first floor of the Wellness Center. The athletic training room will be open two hours prior to all contests.
Game Coverage: A certified athletic trainer will be available at all home contests. Only football and ice hockey games will have physician medical coverage.
Visiting Teams: PLEASE CALL IN ADVANCE if your team is traveling without an athletic trainer, especially if your team requires any special attention. We will be more than accommodating to your teams in providing pre-game taping. Visiting teams must supply their own tape and wraps. The use of moist heat by the athletes must be pre-arranged by the visiting University/College. The use of modalities such as ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation are not available.

Equipment and Services: Equipment is available in the athletic training room. Ice, water, cups, splints and crutches will be available at all home contests. An AED will also be on site.
