Worcester Loses Final Non-Conference Matchup of the Season

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Football team fell this afternoon in upstate New York to Union College with a 76-7 loss.

The Lancers found the endzone in during their first possession of the game with a 65-yard pass from Aaron-Moses Williams to Dylan Hall for the Lancers lone score of the afternoon. Santiago Rodriguez D'Atri's extra point kick was good on the play.

Worcester State amassed 169 yards of offense on the day with all coming in the air as the lancers were unable to find the traction for their run game, amassing a total of -10 yards on the afternoon. The Lancers went 20-30-2 with an average of 9 yards a catch.  

The special team action was strong throughout the day with 8 punts for 296 yards, the longest a 37-yard attempt. Their two kickoffs also accumulated 119 yards for the team.

Worcester State is back in action next Saturday, September 17 when they open MASCAC conference play versus Fitchburg College at 12pm.
