Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Field Hockey team’s senior Grace Adams (Leominster, MA) received this week’s conference offensive player of the week. The Lancers completed a 2-1 week that saw them remain undefeated in MASCAC play.
Adams tallied four goals and three assists for 11 points in a 2-1 week for the Lancers. Scored two goals and added two assists in a 6-3 win over Framingham State. Collected a goal and assist in the 5-1 win over Fitchburg State. Adams has been an instrumental this season in generating attack for the Lancers, recording 59 shots this season with six goals and four assists this season.
Also being recognized this week as an honorable mention for the Lancers was senior Sam Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA), who made four saves and had a 1.00 GAA and .800 save percentage in the Lancers 2-1 victory over Fitchburg State.
Worcester State returns to action Wednesday in their Pink Out Game, sponsored by the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund, to raise awareness for cancer research and funding, when they host Southern Maine at 7pm on Coughlin Field.
