Jacques Races to Top Finish, Leading Lancers at NCAA DIII Regionals

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men's Track and Field team made their mark this weekend at the NCAA DIII Regionals at Mt. Holyoke as they looked to continue their success from the MASCAC Championship.

 

Junior Brodie Jacques (Rehoboth, MA) would lead the men on the day finishing in 8th, and grabbing a point for the Lancers, in the 100m, crossing in a time of 11.02. Sophomore Seth Boudreau would join Jacques in the 100m, finishing in 14th and returning to action on Saturday with the 4x100, made up of first years Pius Baidoo (Worcester, MA) and Nolan Clarke (Mansfield, MA) and junior Giovanni Casiano (Oxford, MA) to grab 19th with a season best 43.62 seconds.

 

In the field events throwing teammates junior Max O'Connor (Dedham, MA) and senior Jack Houlihan (Rutland, MA) would grab top marks with O'Connor landing in 13th with a 41.10m, a new personal record for O'Connor. Houlihan would land in 22nd on a 39.54m toss on the day.

 

Worcester State will return to action next weekend at Holy Cross for the NEICAAA Championships.
