Auburndale, FL --- Clarkson defeated Worcester State 15-6 and 5-4 this afternoon in non-conference baseball action at the RussMatt Invitational. Sophomore Cory Loomer went 3-for-3 in the opener while the Golden Knights held off a late Lancer comeback in the nightcap.
Auburndale, FL --- Worcester State dropped a pair of games this afternoon as they were defeated 4-0 and 6-0 by Trinity this afternoon at the RussMatt Invitational. The Bantams used a pair of strong pitching performances to earn the triumph.
Winter Haven, FL --- Freshman Dan Ubele and sophomore JD Salinas both tallied three hits apiece in the first game and Worcester State held off a late charge by Curry in the second contest as the Lancers defeated the Colonels twice, 6-3 and 5-4, on Friday afternoon at the RussMatt Baseball Invitational.
Darien, CT --- Worcester State was defeated twice by Bates, 15-4 and 3-0, in a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Darien High School. Freshman Dan Ubele led the Lancers as he went 4-for-6 at the plate with a pair of doubles.
Chester, NY --- The Worcester State baseball team dropped their first two games of the season in a pair of nine-inning double-headers against SUNY Purchase yesterday afternoon at Rock Sports Park. The Lancers were defeated 12-4 in the opener before the Panthers edged WSU, 14-13, in 11 innings in the nightcap.
