Worcester, MA- For the fourth time this season, Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse first year Madigan Kelley (Bourne, MA) has been tabbed as the conference rookie of the week in the final week of awards.
Worcester, MA- After a second half shutout on Tuesday over Salem State, the Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse team (10-8, 4-2) makes the trip to Westfield State (10-7, 5-1) for a MASCAC Semi Final rematch. Last year the Lancers fell to Westfield 21-10 and earlier this season Worcester was again unable to clip the Owls wings, but tonight's game has Worcester primed for the upset and their first victory in nearly a decade, with the last coming in 2014, to Westfield in that years MASCAC Semifinal battle.
Worcester, MA- The third-seeded Worcester State Lancers (9-8, 4-2) hosted the sixth-seeded Salem State Vikings (2-12, 0-6) on a cold grey evening for a MASCAC Quarterfinals rematch. The winner will advance to the semifinals for the opportunity to play Thursday, May 2nd.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse team has claimed another MASCAC weekly honor as first year Madigan Kelley (Bourne, MA) claimed her third MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse team (8-8, 3-2) looked to close out the season today over .500 as they journey to Fitchburg State to take on the Falcons (7-9, 1-4) in their conference finale. The Lancers were primed for action as they looked to get some last touches and shots in before the playoffs start next Tuesday.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team (8-7, 3-1) square up with conference leaders Framingham State (11-3, 4-0) this evening in a pivotal postseason seeding battle. The winner of this game looks to get the bye into the semifinals and potential hosting rights through the tournament.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team has again been selected with a conference weekly honor. Sophomore Mckayla Fisher (Peabody, MA), last year’s dominant Rookie of the Week recipient nabbed her first weekly honor this season being named the MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lancers (7-7, 2-1 MASCAC) returned to action today where they hosted the Salem State Vikings (2-10, 0-4 MASCAC).
Today’s game also featured the teams Senior Day as Sarah Melanson (Wakefield, MA) and Hannah Leahey (Worcester, MA) were recognized in a pregame ceremony.

Worcester, MA- In a mid-week late evening battle Worcester State Lacrosse (7-6, 2-0) would aim to keep their undefeated conference season alive as they headed to Westfield to take on the Westfield State Owls (8-6, 3-0).The Owls were just tabbed as regionally ranked in the most recent NCAA regional rankings coming into this contest. In a game that could hold significant postseason seeding consequences, the Lancers aimed to grab an early bid at the top spot in the conference.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team (6-6, 1-0) returns to conference action tonight in a Friday night lights battle with Mass. Maritime (5-7, 2-3) in the Buccaneers final game of the 2024 season. The Lancers will be looking to add another win to their column to jump back above .500 and begin to solidify their conference postseason standing.
Worcester, MA- After almost a week off, the Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse (6-5, 1-0) team returned to action this evening to take on the Western Connecticut Wolves (6-5, 2-0) in a game played in support of the ONE LOVE Foundation.

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lancers (6-4, 1-0 MASCAC) traveled out west to Springfield where they held an afternoon bout against the Western New England Golden Bears (2-7, 1-1 CCC).

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Softball Lacrosse team would claim two MASCAC weekly honors this week as the Blue and Gold would take home both offensive and defensive player of the week honors. Sophomore Molly Witkowski (Greenville, NY) would claim the offensive honors whiles senior Sarah Melanson (Wakefield, MA) would be selected for the defensive honors.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team (5-4, 0-0) returns to action on a blustery Saturday afternoon to kick off their conference season with a match up with Bridgewater State (4-6, 1-0) who opened up their conference slate on Tuesday with a win versus Mass. Maritime. Worcester State looks to rebound from a chilly battle on Thursday versus Johnson and Wales to add another win to the column.
Worcester, MA- In what has become a traditional game for the Worcester State Lacrosse team (5-3, 0-0), the Lancers would take on the Johnson & Wales Wildcats (3-3, 2-0) in a rain ridden game that would look to have Worcester begin their return to New England by extending their win streak to two. Today’s game was also played in support of the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund created by Gregg '86 and Pam '87 Rosen, aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer to peer education regarding early cancer detection. Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students in the field of public health, can effectively expedite these important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late-stage cancer and increase longevity.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team (4-3, 0-0) faced their final Spring Break game this afternoon as they matched up with Keene State in a typical New England Spring game in Panama City Beach, Florida. The Lancers were looking to stay above .500 on their return to New England after dropping a hard fought back and forth battle to Hartwick on Tuesday.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse (4-2, 0-0) returns to action this morning, taking on Hartwick College (2-2, 0-0) in the first of two games in Panama City Beach, Florida. The Lancers were coming off a late game loss on Thursday versus Emmanuel and looked to get back on the winning track and grab win number five on the season.

The Lancers are coming off a three game win streak with a 9-6 win over Southern Maine this past Saturday, and hope to extend it to four after claiming the 14-6 victory over Emmanuel last year at home.

They have had all-star performances from numerous athletes, but this week saw junior Olivia LaValle (Peabody, MA) and first year Madigan Kelley (Bourne, MA) honored in the conference weekly honors.

Worcester, MA - The Worcester State Women's Lacrosse (2-1,0-0) hosted the Simmons University Sharks (2-2, 0-0) in their fourth game of the new season. After Worcester State displayed an assertive performance and secured their second win of the season against the Wellesley Blues in their home opener, the Lancers look forward to maintaining their momentum against the Sharks.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse (1-1,0-0) hosted the Wellesley College Blues (0-2, 0-0) in their home opener on Saturday afternoon. The game was played in recognition of the HEADStrong foundation and the Game Hair Havoc Game Day. Game Hair Havoc is an online fundraising campaign that empowers athletes to style their Game Hair in an effort to raise awareness and funds for families overcome by cancer.
Worcester, MA- the Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse team (1-0,0-0) remained in the road for the second game of their young season as they headed up to Maine to take on the Bates Bobcats (0-1,0-0). Last season the Lancers lost 16-8 on their home turf and looked to avenge themselves this year.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse(0-0,0-0) team opened up their season today by traveling to Wheaton College (0-0,0-0) for a noon matchup. The Lancers open up their season with two away and then two at home for the first four games of the season. This non-conference opponent will be a solid test to open up the season for the Lancers.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Lacrosse team, led by Head Coach Kelly Down in her 8th season, have announced their 2024 Lacrosse schedule. The Lancers are looking to return to the MASCAC post season tournament and compete for the MASCAC Championship title backed by a slate of dominant returners and wide-ranging talent in the incoming class. Stepping back onto Coughlin Field to anchor Worcester State is graduate student Shea Jarvis (Auburn, MA), who was a MASCAC First Team selection last year, along with sophomore McKayla Fisher (Peabody, MA), MASCAC Second Team selection, who had a dominant first year with the program claiming three MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors.
A date for the 2023 Worcester State University Women's Lacrosse Fall Prospect Clinic has been officially announced. The annual clinic will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 9 a.m.
