Women's Lacrosse Picked Fourth in MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team has been selected fourth in the 2024 preseason coaches' poll as voted on by the conference coaches.

The Lancers received 23 points from the voting after ending the previous season with a 5-2 mark in the conference schedule. Returning to the field for the Lancers is graduate student Shea Jarvis (Auburn, MA) who grabbed All-Conference accolades after scoring 47 goals and 20 assists for 67 points while collecting 20 ground balls and 10 draw controls.

Grabbing the top spot in the voting was Westfield State with 36 total points and six first place votes, following behind with 29 points, and a single first place vote, was Framingham State. Bridgewater State would just edge ahead of the Lancers with 26 points while Mass Maritime finished in fifth with 12.

In the sixth and seven spots would see Fitchburg State finish with 12 points and Salem State round out the poll with nine.

Worcester State opens their season on February 24th at 12pm when they travel to take on the Wheaton Lyons.
