With this said they have adopted new guidelines that govern how sports medicine personnell are to manage concussions. The way we already manage concussions here at WSC is within the guidelines of the NCAA.
We are developing an assessment program will allow us to have a baseline assessement for each athlete in contact and collision sports/positionsWorcester State. This will help us add another measure to determine when it is safe for you to return.
Here is a link to the NCAA Heath and Saftey page for more information about concussions. Please read this information and be prepared to sign a statement when you return to campus that you have read the information on concussions and understand it.
